offers a coverage of $10,000 on each trip that you book with your credit card. You get a compensation of up to $500 per air ticket if your flight is delayed for more than 12 hours. It offers a coverage of $3,000 per person for lost luggage. It offers up to $100 per day for 5 days if your luggage is delayed for at least 6 hours. The card does award tickets covered. Chase United Explorer offers the same benefits as Chase Sapphire Preferred but it only offers $100 compensation per day for up to 3 days for delayed luggage. With Chase United Explorer, you will enjoy benefits such as priority boarding and free checked baggage and up to 2 passes for the United Club per year if you usually fly with United Airlines. In order to get these perks, you must use your Chase United Explorer card to purchase the ticket.

Citi Prestige offers up to $5,000 coverage for each person in the trip. If your flight is delayed for more than 3 hours, you will be compensated for $500 per ticket. The lost luggage coverage is up to $3,000 per person but residents from New York will only get covered with $2,000 per person.

Citi Prestige offers up to $500 coverage if your flight is delayed for 3 hours. This is one of the shortest waiting time compared to other travel credit cards. It does award new air ticket if you use your Citi ThankYou Points to book it. Citi Prestige is suitable for people who place a lot of emphasis on trip delays. The card extend the coverage to your spouse and dependents if yo use it to book the trips for them.

Citi Aadvantage Executive offers all the same coverage benefits as Citi Prestige but it does not award tickets covered. The card offers you priority boarding when you fly with American airlines and US Airways. Every $1 you spent on the ticket you purchase from American Airlines, you get to earn 2 x points. The card also extend coverage on up to 8 companions.
